The Avengers, Marvel’s biggest team in comics and film, haven’t appeared in the MCU since 2019, the year Avengers: Endgame was released. The feature film ended arcs of some characters like Iron Man and Captain America.
In addition to having four billionaire films, the team present in the comics is a success of the publisher, and recently made an unusual crossover with Round 6, a Netflix series.
“A group of people going through financial difficulties accept a strange invitation to a survival game. A billion-dollar prize awaits, but the stakes are high and deadly.”
The cast features Lee Jung-jae, Jung Ho-yeon, Wi Ha-joon, Lee Yoo-mi, Park Hae-soo, Lee Byung-hun, among other names.
A bloody moment for the Avengers
If Round 6 was successful on Netflix with its sick and bloody gameplay, Avengers should be repeating the idea, but providing a slightly different take (via ScreenRant🇧🇷
With the title of Murderworld, that is, world of murder, the new story of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be talked about.
Some hints were dropped by writer Jim Zub, revealing that murderous versions of the heroes would be chasing innocent people visiting the theme park.
Heroes like Captain America and Spider-Man will be robotic assassins, while 200 participants try to survive to claim the cash prize.
The games will be a test of survival, similar to the game made in Round 6, and even HBO Max’s Westworld.
The new comic book series will have a high body count as Black Widow and a shepherd named Paul try to save the innocent.
With the success of Round 6, it’s not hard to think that Marvel has come up with a similar idea to introduce into the comics.
While there’s not that much freedom in the MCU, to showcase a game of this type, the comics can do the job, featuring some gruesome deaths.
