Disney + Day was an opportunity for studios Marvel to unveil the first images of its future series. Among them, we were able to discover She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel or Moon Knight. The event also allowed the Maison des Idées to unveil an IMAX Enhanced version ofAvengers : Endgame. While this never-before-seen format offers a better viewing experience, when it comes to the Russo Brothers’ movie, it gave blockbuster fans a new take on Tony Stark’s last words to his family. Primarily aimed at his daughter, Morgan, Iron Man’s final lyrics also got to reason in Captain America and Thor, with both Avengers ultimately being in this scene, as you can see below.
While this change seems insignificant at first glance, this new angle could have a wider impact on Phase 4 of the MCU. Considering that Tony Stark’s final words centered on love and family, this may represent the last element in Captain America’s decision to travel down memory lane and reunite with Peggy. While there are several rumors that Steve Rogers was not dead, the return of an aged version of the character in Phase 4 of the MCU could have an impact on it, with the super-soldier now serving as a guide for new Marvel heroes.
For his part, Thor could also take these words with him in the next Phase 4 of the MCU, the words of Tony Stark may explain the reunion of the God of Thunder with Jane Foster in Thor 4 : Love & Thunder. After their break between The Dark World and Ragnarok and given the disastrous events ofAvengers : Endgame, the character of Chris Hemsworth could indeed want to find his former girlfriend, especially since this one would have been erased by the snap of Thanos after Infinity War. Once again proof that even missing, Tony Stark continues to play an important role in the MCU!
