Auxerre lands on the podium, Nîmes crunches Dijon

Victorious on the smallest of the margins in Grenoble (0-1), AJ Auxerre temporarily settles in third place in the standings, with as many points as Paris FC (4e) and Sochaux (5e). Nîmes performed well on the Dijon field (1-2), while Pau and Bastia had fun against Rodez (4-0) and QRM (3-0).

Grenoble 0-1 Auxerre

Auxerre remains in the game. A few hours after the success of Sochaux in Le Havre (0-1), the Icaunais took advantage of their victory in Grenoble to overtake FCSM and Paris FC – whose match in Dunkirk was postponed due to Covid – and settle down in third place in the ranking. A goal from Gaëtan Charbonnier, served on a plate by Mathias Autret (31e), made the happiness of the AJA, less spectacular, but more solid than usual. The Grenoblois, for their part, are probably still wondering why Yoric Ravet’s goal was refused by the refereeing body (73e).

Dijon 1-2 Nimes

Buts : Philippoteaux (56e) for Burgundians // Eliasson (5e) and Ponceau (31e) for the Crocs
Expulsion: Sainte-Luce (45e+1) for the Crocs

Already the Nicolas Usaï effect? Still, the new Nîmes coach undoubtedly appreciated the start of the match of his players at Gaston-Gérard. They only needed a good half an hour to seriously hurt a DFCO lead by Covid-19. Untenable, Niclas Eliasson showed the way (5e), then was imitated a little later by Julien Ponceau (31e). The stupid expulsion of Théo Sainte-Luce just before the break (45e+1) and the reduction of the gap of Romain Philippoteaux (56e) did not plunge the Crocs, who devour with gusto three points welcome in these troubled times.

Bastia 3-0 Quevilly-Rouen

Goals: Santelli (14e), Kaïboué (80e) and Talal (87e)

Gauge or not, Furiani remains a hell of a trap for visitors. The only team still unbeaten at home this season, SC Bastia tamed the promoted Norman with authority. Benjamin Santelli (14e) and Kylian Kaïboué (80e) both made the most of the love of passes from the outside of the foot, respectively distilled by Christophe Vincent and Julien Le Cardinal. Amine Talal then made use of her composure to close the mark (87e). The Corsicans leave the place of barrage and come to rise to the 13e rank, just behind their evening opponents.

Pau 4-0 Rodez

Goals: Koffi (53e), Nisic (60e), Lobry (71e) and Naidji (76e)

Pau fell asleep at the end of 2021, evidenced by his three defeats in a row in December. The formation of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques woke up this Saturday. And brilliantly. Opposed to Rodez, the Palois made the difference when they returned from the locker room thanks to Erwin Koffi (52e), Jovan Nisic (60e), Victor Lobry (71e) and Zakaria Naidji (76e), without forgetting the two assists of Ebenezer Assifuah. Hard evening for Marc Vidal, tenured in the Aveyron goal to compensate for the absences of the other goalkeepers of the workforce. The former Toulousain had not played for professionals since 2014.

Valenciennes 1-1 Guingamp

Buts: Volume (22e) for the VAFC // Pierrot (74e SP) pour l’EAG
Expulsion: Debuchy (73e) for the VAFC

It is not yet this weekend that Valenciennes will really move away from the red zone. However, the Northerners had taken the lead against Guingamp, Emmanuel Ntim having found the flaw in the head on a corner (22e). But the Costarmoricans pushed, Mathieu Debuchy committed a voluntary hand synonymous with penalty and direct red (73e) and Frantzdy Pierrot, while in control, brought his family up to height (74e). On arrival, it gives a draw that does not suit anyone, as the saying goes.
