Ant-Man 3: MODOK visual divides MCU fans

The film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Ant-Man 3) revealed in its new trailer the look of the villain MODOK, which divided the opinions of MCU fans.

With one more enemy to face, Ant-Man and his allies will be overwhelmed within the Quantum Realm.

During the trailer, MODOK can be seen with and without the mask, and will be played by star Corey Stoll. The actor lived the Yellowjacket in Ant-Man.

However, the look became a joke for some fans, while others liked how it was adapted, given the difficulty of making such a character for live-action (via ScreenRant).

Fans Are Calling MODOK “Ugly”

“They are really giving MODOK his comic accurate look he is so ugly I love him,” said one fan.

“The new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer doesn’t just show MODOK – it also shows him unmasked and… hello Corey Stoll…” another fan said.

“Why make fun of MODOK looking goofy when MODOK is supposed to look goofy? There’s no way to make his design look normal…”, another fan commented.

“He looks weird”, “he is so ugly”, “he looks like Mr. Electric”. Excellent. MODOK is a big ugly head and I’m glad they got it right,” wrote one fan.

“The MCU literally just doing what Sharkboy and Lavagirl did to George Lopez two decades ago for MODOK isn’t exactly impressive—of course it sounds silly, but it sure isn’t iconic or memorable. Which MODOK should be. It’s generic,” said another fan.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Ant-Man 3) will hit theaters on February 16.
