She has been hospitalized at Hospital Vila Nova Star, in the South Zone of São Paulo, since Monday (18) for preoperative procedures.. According to the newspaper O Globo, the singer should be discharged between Friday (22) and Saturday (23).
On social media, Gkay, a personal friend of Anitta and who has been accompanying the singer in the hospital, celebrated the success of the surgery. “Everything went well, thank God, I’m going back there [o hospital] now. All right, thank God. God is good all the time“, said the comedian.
According to the newspaper O Globo, Anitta underwent a procedure known as laparoscopy. It is a minimally invasive process, where two small holes are made in the patient’s abdomen. These holes are where instruments pass that remove or burn endometrial tissue that has grown in other organs., such as ovary, bowel or bladder. In addition to reducing the rate of infections, this procedure brings less pain and faster post-surgical recovery.
ANITTA ON ENDOMETRIOSIS: ‘WILL TO BRING AN IMPROVEMENT FOR WOMEN’
anita discovered endometriosis just over a month ago, while her father, Mauro, was hospitalized, who was treated for cancer and a stroke. To “Fantastic”, the popstar explained why she exposed the diagnosis of the disease.
“It’s always our fault, it’s always us doing something wrong. Then I said: ‘I’m going to say this publicly, because today everything I say has a very large reach’. If I can somehow reach women who are in the same situation as me or at the beginning. And after I spoke, a lot of people came to talk to me. So, my desire was just to improve women in general, you know? More information for things to change,” she declared.
