The AMAs were created by the television presenter Dick Clark in 1973, to compete with the Grammy Awards, having among its first animators Michael Jackson.

Unlike other awards, where it is the industry professionals who choose the winners, in the American Music Awards the public has the power to vote for their favorite artists to make them worthy of the various statuettes.

WHEN AND HOW TO SEE THE AMERICAN MUSICA AWARDS 2021?

The award ceremony that will host the rapper Cardi B will be held on November 21 at the Microsoft Theater at 7:00 pm (Mexico Central Time). To access the live broadcast, you must tune in to the TNT or from the app TNT GO. The schedules in other countries are as follows:

  • Peru, Ecuador and Colombia: 8.00 pm
  • Argentina, Brazil and Chile: 10.00 pm
  • Venezuela, Bolivia and Paraguay: 9.00 pm

HOW TO VOTE IN THE AMAs?

This year, fans could vote for all categories, but only once a day, via TikTok and through Billboard’s website. Voting ended on Tuesday, November 16 at 11:59 pm.
