After 20 months CATs circuit court will hear in Bilaspur

Bilaspur. Bilaspur News: The Circuit Court of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) could not come to Bilaspur during the first and second wave of the Corona transition period. Due to this the matter could not be heard. From September 13 to 17, the Circuit Court will hear in the new building of the District Consumer Forum. Apart from Railway, Post and Telegraph Department, BSNL, SECL, Kendriya School, Medical Council of India, IAS and IPS cases will be heard.

CAT has issued a list of the cases which will be heard in the circuit court which will last for five days. Chhattisgarh’s 2009 cases are also pending in CAT. Since the year 2009 till now, about one thousand cases are pending. CAT circuit court is held in Bilaspur once in every three months to hear the cases related to Chhattisgarh. During the first and second wave of Corona transition period, the circuit court of CAT could not be set up in Chhattisgarh. As soon as the situation returned to normal after the nationwide lockdown, the second wave started three months later.

In the Chhattisgarh High Court also then the period of virtual hearing started. The High Court is now hearing in open court instead of virtual. The Central Administrative Tribunal has issued a notification for hearing in Bilaspur through Circuit Bench from September 13. Cause list has also been issued regarding which cases will be heard.

Circuit court is arranged every three months

The apex court has introduced a system of hearing through circuit courts every four months. Under this, the Circuit Court of the Central Administrative Tribunal will hear the cases related to Chhattisgarh four times in a year. The top court has implemented a similar arrangement from the year 2019.
