This Thursday, November 24, 2022 was held the second edition of the Grand Prix de la Pâtisserie de la Ville de Paris. After deliberation, the jury named Jordan Talbot from Maison Lucas Carton the big winner of this new edition thanks to his creation “Sillage automnal”. Discover the results and the winners.
Pastry was in the spotlight this Thursday, November 24, 2022 in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. The seat of Syndicate of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of Greater Paris hosted the second edition of the City of Paris Pastry Grand Prix.
The 12 pastry chefs of the capital participating in this gourmet competition were invited to present their creation imagined around the theme ” Parisian gardens “. Also, each pastry had to be made with at least one ingredient grown in Paris.
To decide between all the creations in competition, the City of Paris assembled a prestigious jury. Co-chaired by Olivia Polskyassistant to the Mayor of Paris in charge of trade, crafts and liberal professions and crafts and fashion, and by the essential pastry chef and chocolate maker Pierre Herméthe jury was also composed of Quentin Lechatwinner of the first edition of the Grand Prix de la Pâtisserie, the pastry chef Claire Damon or the pastry chef Nicholas Paciello without forgetting Parisians drawn by lot.
After deliberation and after having tasted the 12 gourmet creations in the running for the City of Paris Pastry Grand Prixit is finally Jordan Talbotpastry chef at pastry shop Lucas Cardboard House (75008), who takes the win. He managed to stand out thanks to his creation called “autumn wake“.
Hugo Spiesser-Ferrettefrom the Michalak coffee shop, took second place on the podium. Louise Riotfrom the Molitor hotel-restaurant, took third place.
Jordan Talbot wins the title of Grand Prix de la Pâtisserie de Paris for the year 2023, but also a sum of €4,000. The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, will present him with the prize at the Hôtel de Ville on November 30.
As a reminder, during the last edition organized in 2019, the pastry chef Quentin Lechat had been designated the big winner with his original individual pastry, called ” Hazelnut “.
