The World Cup in Qatar can now really start! The opening ceremony traditionally precedes the first group match of the World Cup.
Sheik Al Thani took a seat in the stands in the company of FIFA President Infantino. Furthermore, the fans of Qatar and Ecuador had already taken their place in time. After the opening ceremony, those countries kick off the World Cup.
The presentation of the opening ceremony was done by none other than Morgan Freeman, the 85-year-old actor from Seven and The Dark Knight trilogy, among others. A performance by South Korean singer Jung Kook is also part of the opening ceremony.

Another impressive image: the mascot of the 2022 World Cup football that just started floating through the air. The spectators in the Al Bayt Stadium have already experienced this visual and musical spectacle. Let’s hope that in the coming weeks it will also be a spectacle on the football fields.
